About the Course
Some projects begin with a story, others simply with the need to slow down. In my private workshop sessions, you are invited to step away from the pace of everyday life and spend time making something with your hands—with care, attention, and presence.
These one-on-one sessions allow you to work on a project of your own choosing while having full access to my workshop, tools, and dedicated guidance. Whether you come with a clear idea, a meaningful object, or simply the desire to create, we shape the project together—from the first sketch to the final details—at a rhythm that suits you.
For some, these projects are deeply personal: upcycling sentimental furniture from deceased relatives, or transforming old materials into contemporary keepsakes. For others, the workshop becomes a quiet refuge—a place to focus, learn traditional woodworking techniques, and experience the calm satisfaction of making something tangible, even if only for a few hours at a time.
Sessions can be booked as full or half days and spread over multiple visits if needed. The level of guidance adapts to your experience, ranging from close, hands-on support to more independent work with thoughtful supervision.
Rate: €50–€80 per hour (incl. BTW), depending on how independently you can work, excluding materials.
If additional materials are needed, we can draw from my own selection of timbers or select fitting pieces together at the Amsterdams Fijnhouthandel.
If you feel drawn to meaningful making—whether to preserve a memory, learn a craft, or simply step away from the noise—I would be happy to explore your ideas with you.
