Inspired by simple Japanese forms, the Seren is a small yet elegant handcrafted wooden step stool designed for everyday use. Ideal for children, shorter users, or as a low platform to reach a sink, shelf, or work surface, it is equally suited as a small bench for drawing, playing, or sitting.

Despite its compact size, the design is carefully refined. Slightly chamfered sides and softly rounded corners give the stool a calm, tactile quality that is pleasant to both touch and eye. The solid wood construction features traditional wedged through joints and additional stretchers, resulting in a durable and stable step stool built to last a lifetime.

The Seren also reflects a sustainable approach to craftsmanship. By using shorter off-cuts from larger furniture projects, valuable material is given a second life in a functional and beautifully made piece, maximizing the use of raw materials and reducing waste.

The example shown is crafted from solid white oak and finished with a hard-wearing PU coating, selected for durability and safety in daily use. The Seren step stool is also available in other wood species and finishes upon request.
